OMG Drake Maye
DRAKE MAYE BABY WOOAAAHHHH. Finally, patriots' fans had some sort of watchable football. I was discussing the game and previous games with my dad. I did not expect to win this game at all. But it was a day for Maye to step up and show us what he can do. And he most definitely did. One thing that has not changed is the play calling. In one of my other post I discuss the type of pass Brisset was making mainly short underneath routes. It was both Brisset and Alex Van Pelt our offensive coordinator. While Maye is a rookie starting in his first game in week 5 he still can throw dimes. His first touchdown pass is what we the patriot fan base been waiting for. A Throw down field. A 40-yard bomb down the sideline for a first time touchdown for both Maye and Boutte in week 5. and then another first-time touchdown to Pop Douglas. Maye did have a good day. He threw for over 265 yards with 3 passing touchdowns. He had 2 interceptions but if you watched the game, he really only threw one. That being Maye over throwing Bourne or Polk over the middle to a defender. The other interception however was a total fluke and a great play made by the defender. Maye throws the ball it gets tipped in the air where a defender that is being blocked catches the ball against one of the patriots' players. The blame is pointed at our defense. Who knows what could of transpired if the defense decides to play football. Allowing 41 points and 368 combined total yards. we definitely cannot win if we are allowing this many yards and points in a game. Things are coming together slowly but surely. now that we have the QB spot covered all we need now is an O-line, veteran WR, a new OC and defense. once we get those we'll be a whole new team.
